Job Description
The Dry Guy Restoration is a rapidly growing, family-owned restoration company serving the Fort Worth and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and commercial water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire restoration, and contents/pack-out services, helping property owners recover quickly, safely, and the right way. We are looking for a dependable, experienced, and hands-on Lead Restoration Technician to lead crews in the field, manage jobs efficiently, and uphold high standards across residential and commercial restoration projects. This position requires leadership, accountability, organization, and strong documentation skills. The Lead Technician is responsible for managing crews, maintaining company vehicles and equipment, and ensuring every job is properly documented and completed according to company standards. What You'll Do Lead residential and commercial water, mold, fire, and contents/pack-out restoration jobs from start to finish Interpret, and execute on mold protocols Setup mold containment, neagative air, decon chambers, and perform mold remedation Oversee technicians, temporary laborers, and subcontractor crews on job sites Perform and supervise demolition, extraction, equipment setup, containment, cleaning, pack-outs, and structural drying Ensure jobs are completed properly and according to company standards Complete detailed and accurate job documentation including photos, moisture readings, notes, equipment logs, inventories, and daily updates Maintain consistent communication and reporting with the Project Manager Ensure all documentation is completed thoroughly and submitted on time Monitor drying progress and adjust equipment as needed Maintain responsibility for assigned company van, including cleanliness, organization, and inventory Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites Train and guide technicians on proper procedures and company standards Ensure crews work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship What We're Looking For Strong leadership and accountability Strong licensed mold remediation experience is a huge plus Reliable and dependable Experience in restoration, mitigation, mold remediation, fire cleanup, or contents handling Strong attention to detail — especially in documentation and remediation work Ability to lead crews and manage job flow efficiently Good communication and customer service skills Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in the field Organized and capable of managing equipment, vehicles, crews, and documentation Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Valid Driver's License Ability to handle physical labor and long hours when needed Ideal Candidate Leads by example and holds crews accountable Takes ownership of jobs, equipment, and company vehicles Strong licensed mold experience Understands urgency without sacrificing quality Doesn't cut corners Keeps vans, equipment, and job sites clean and organized Completes thorough and accurate documentation on every job Can manage subcontractors and temporary labor professionally Communicates proactively with management and customers Comfortable working in both residential and commercial environments Wants long-term growth with a growing company Preferred Qualifications Restoration industry experience Licensed mold experience IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT preferred) Experience leading crews and managing restoration projects Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus What You'll Get Competitive pay based on experience Leadership growth opportunities Paid training and certification opportunities Steady work across residential and commercial restoration projects A company that values quality work and professionalism Supportive, family-oriented team culture Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company If you take pride in leading teams, running organized jobs, completing detailed documentation, and doing restoration work the right way, we'd love to hear from you.
