Lead Server - Pickwick Landing State Park Restaurant

Our Tennessee State Parks are among the most beautiful parks in the United States. We have an outstanding opportunity to work in a beautiful work environment at The Lodge at Pickwick Landing State Park in Counce, TN. This newly renovated lodge offers a full-service restaurant, lounge, and catering facilities and is a preferred destination for business meetings and conferences, as well as a vacation destination for families. This position is responsible for leading the daily shifts in the restaurant and serving food and beverages to lounge and restaurant guests. The preferred candidate will have experience in a high-volume restaurant operation, and the ability to serve multiple tables and service requests. Servers are required to be able to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, and carry objects. A ServSafe certification is required for this position within 90 days of employment. The position requires work on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications (MQs) for this position.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

Coach and train new or existing servers in restaurant service standards and catering events. Assist with stocking and setting up restaurant and catering tables before each shift or function. Ensure guest satisfaction by placing food and beverage orders in a timely manner. Assists with pre-shift meetings to discuss shift objectives and nightly food and drink specials. Suggest wine pairings to guests to complement their food selections. Be familiar with locally sourced beverage offerings and can distinguish the unique nature of each product to guests. Work with point-of-sale systems and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions. Maintain a clean, organized restaurant and side stands that exceed the Department of Health expectations.

Pay:

$10.50 per hour
