Lead Sign Installers & onsite assistants

Established in 1929, Brilliant Electric Sign Co. is one of the largest Northeast Ohio manufacturers and installers of on-premise illuminated and non-illuminated signs, message centers, and various graphics. We also perform all types service work on any type of existing signs and lighting. As a Full-Service Sign Company, we are continuing to expand, and we have a requirement for an additional Full Time lead sign installers as well as assistants to work on crane trucks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one year of hand-on experience installing types of signs utilizing a crane truck for lead installers
• Install or assist with onsite installation of signs/graphics according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment and a proper installation.
• We utilize Elliot Crane trucks with remote baskets and power tools to install various signs from letter sets to pylon signs to wayfinding signs to graphics following detailed drawings. You must be able to operate a crane as a lead.
• Conduct measurements and calculations using basic math skills to ensure accuracy.
• Test electrical components to verify functionality (preferred not required).
• Adhere to safety guidelines while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain a valid driver's license to transport vehicles and equipment to job sites.

• Ability to use a tape measure
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with fellow employees
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with instructions with installation manager
• Desire to work in a results-oriented outside crew as part of a team
• Welding experience helpful (but not required)
• Crane Certification helpful (we will assist in obtaining and train as required)

Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent walking and working with other employees Able to work in an outdoor environment Manual dexterity to work with your hands Able to lift materials required for installing signs Knowledge of and familiarity with basic hand and power tools, (tape measure, level, drill, etc. Basic math and communication skills required; ability to read a tape measure

Responsibilities:

Operate crane truck, power tools and equipment safely to assist in sign installation and construction tasks. As an assistant, work with the lead installer installing signs in the field Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during projects. When installing sign, always ensure quality and adherence to specifications. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met. Maintain tools and equipment, including welding tools, and ensure a clean work environment. Hold a valid driver's license to drive daily and transport materials and tools as needed on the crane truck. Starting hourly pay to be commensurate with experience with top starting hourly wage rate for applicants with sign industry experience. We prefer for our lead sign installers with proven experience in the sign industry, we are willing to train assistant helpers to the lead sign installer.
