Description Position Summary Kidz Connect Child Care Center LLC is seeking a dependable, nurturing, and energetic Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities, supervise classroom staff and children, maintaining classroom management, and ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania childcare regulations and center policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create and implement daily lesson plans and educational activities appropriate for the age group assigned.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Supervise and actively engage with children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.
Foster positive emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development in children.
Maintain incident reports, and child assessments as required.
Communicate professionally and effectively with management and parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Human Services regulations and Kidz Connect Child Care Center LLC policies.
Supervise assistant teachers and classroom aides as assigned.
Encourage positive behavior and use appropriate classroom management techniques.
Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and required certifications.
Report any safety concerns, accidents, or suspected child abuse immediately according to mandated reporting requirements.
Assist with special events, field trips, and center activities as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
CDA, associate degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required.
Previous childcare or classroom experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must meet all state licensing requirements including:
FBI Fingerprinting
Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
Child Abuse Clearance
NSOR Verification
CPR/First Aid Certification
Health Assessment/TB Screening Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, sit on the floor, and actively participate in classroom activities throughout the day.
Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Schedule Full-time position
Monday through Friday
