As a Lead Technician for Water Damage Restoration with Xactimate experience, you will play a critical role in managing and executing water damage restoration projects, using your expertise in Xactimate software to estimate project costs accurately. Your responsibilities will include leading a team, assessing damage, performing restoration work, and preparing detailed estimates for insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee and manage water damage restoration projects from inception to completion. This includes assessment, planning, execution, and quality control.
Xactimate Expertise:
Utilize Xactimate software to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for water damage restoration projects. Ensure that estimates are in compliance with industry standards and insurance requirements.
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of restoration technicians. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure efficient and high-quality work.
Damage Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments of water damage, identifying affected areas and planning restoration techniques and equipment requirements.
Mitigation and Remediation:
Lead the team in water extraction, drying, dehumidification, mold remediation, and other restoration tasks. Implement preventative measures to minimize future damage.
Equipment Management:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of water restoration equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of the restoration process, including photographs, moisture readings, project reports, and detailed Xactimate estimates.
Client Communication:
Interact with clients and insurance companies, providing regular updates on project progress, timelines, and any additional services required.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to safeguard the team and clients. Ensure the safe use of chemicals and equipment.
Quality Control:
Conduct inspections to verify that restoration work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Emergency Response:
Be available for on-call duties during emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in water damage restoration and mitigation. Certification in water damage restoration (IICRC & WRT certification preferred). Proficiency in Xactimate software for estimating. Leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of water damage restoration equipment and techniques. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in physically demanding and sometimes adverse conditions. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves physical work, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and extended periods of standing and bending.
Work Environment:
Water damage restoration can be a demanding job, requiring work in various environments, including residential and possible commercial properties. It may involve exposure to mold, contaminants, and hazardous materials, so adherence to safety procedures is essential.
