In this pivotal role, you will inspire young learners during their most formative years, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will take charge of creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom routines, and guiding a team of assistant teachers to deliver exceptional care and education. Your passion for childhood development and commitment to working with children will help shape a positive, enriching experience for every toddler in your care. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' developmental stages, encouraging exploration and learning through play Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports social-emotional growth and early learning milestones Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers, fostering teamwork and professional development within the classroom Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, behavior management strategies, and daily activities to ensure individualized attention Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and health regulations, to guarantee a secure environment for children Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns or updates Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events or educational outings that enhance the learning experience Qualifications Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, specifically with toddlers or infants Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Background in early childhood education a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is required, or the ability to obtain after hiring. Infant Toddler CDA, at least 9 credits in Early Childhood Education, or an associate's degree in a related field required. Candidates willing to commit to a plan of study will be considered. Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a nurturing manner Prior experience in childcare, nannying, babysitting or working with students is highly valued Ability to create engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth while maintaining safety standards Join us as a Lead Toddler Teacher where your energy fuels young minds!
