In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of young learners. Your expertise in early childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum design will inspire children to reach their full potential while ensuring a safe and stimulating learning space. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives through innovative teaching practices and compassionate care. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom instruction for VPK students, implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum goals. Develop and adapt curriculum materials that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to diverse learning needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and inclusive environment. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support individual student needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Oversee classroom organization, including lesson planning, activity setup, and maintaining a safe and clean learning environment. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early childhood education is essential; experience in daycare or private school settings is highly valued. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within early childhood education environments. Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques for young children. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, team members, and community partners.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
