Lead Water Restoration Technicians play a critical role in emergency response, customer communication, project management, and job execution. You will oversee water mitigation projects from initial inspection through completion while leading and managing Water Restoration Technicians on-site. This role involves performing inspections, determining drying plans, setting up and monitoring equipment, documenting project details accurately, communicating with customers throughout the mitigation process, and ensuring projects are completed according to The Crew's standards for quality, safety, and professionalism. Lead Technicians also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency water response calls. This position is physically demanding at times and may involve unpleasant conditions, but you will always be provided with proper training, PPE, and support to do the job the right way.

Water extraction and structural drying Moisture inspection and drying plan development Equipment setup (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration) Job site containment and protection Demolition and material removal Moisture monitoring and documentation Customer communication and project management Emergency response and mitigation logistics In-home water damage inspections and mitigation sales process Summary Lead Water Restoration Technicians are often on-site during some of the most stressful moments a customer will experience. This role works closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Water Restoration Technicians to carry out The Crew's restoration process with excellence. Responsibilities include emergency response, customer communication, project oversight, drying plan development, technician leadership, documentation accuracy, job execution, safety compliance, equipment care, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project. Strong leadership, communication, organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and character are essential. This role is vital to customer trust, company reputation, and overall success. Primary Tasks Job Preparation & Readiness Review job details before arrival Arrive prepared and on time Coordinate with team members on meeting locations and job plans Ensure tools, equipment, and PPE are ready for use Prepare for emergency response calls during on-call rotations Emergency Response & Customer Intake Respond to emergency water calls during scheduled on-call rotations Perform initial inspections and diagnose water damage conditions Explain the mitigation process and project expectations to customers Build customer confidence and guide them through the restoration process Obtain authorization and sign customers on for mitigation services Project Management & Leadership Lead and manage Water Restoration Technicians on assigned projects Delegate tasks and ensure technicians are following company procedures Oversee project logistics from start to completion Determine and adjust drying plans based on job conditions and moisture readings Ensure all job details, notes, and documentation are accurate and complete Maintain communication with customers throughout the project Job Execution Perform water extraction using proper equipment Assist with demolition and removal of damaged materials (drywall, flooring, insulation, etc.) Set up and monitor drying equipment according to job scope and drying goals Perform moisture monitoring and documentation throughout the project Assist with containment, protection, and cleanliness of job sites Follow restoration protocols and safety procedures at all times Safety & PPE Wear required PPE consistently and correctly Follow safety protocols for hazardous environments (sewage, mold, dust, debris) Maintain a clean, safe work environment for crew and occupants Customer Interaction Display professionalism at all times Be respectful of customer homes and belongings Communicate clearly and confidently with customers throughout the project Help customers understand the restoration process and next steps Represent The Crew well in appearance, attitude, and effort Equipment & Maintenance Clean and maintain equipment after each job Keep tools, vehicles, and job sites organized Ensure equipment is returned clean, safe, and operational Reputation & Professionalism No crude, careless, or unprofessional behavior Be mindful of public perception when representing The Crew Work efficiently without lingering or cutting corners Take pride in effort, detail, communication, and quality of work Maintain high standards for job quality and customer experience Skills & AttributesGenuine Service Cares about helping people during difficult situations Takes pride in doing the job right Understands the importance of communication and trust Leadership & Teamwork Enjoys leading and developing others Holds team members accountable with respect and professionalism Willing to step in and help wherever needed Encouraging and dependable Safety-Focused Understands the importance of PPE and safety procedures Takes responsibility for personal and team safety Problem Solver Figures out how to get the task done Adapts when conditions change Makes sound decisions under pressure Doesn't settle for average results Work Ethic & Physical Ability Comfortable with physical labor Able to lift, carry, bend, and work on your feet Willing to work in challenging environments Able to respond to emergency calls after hours during on-call rotations Growth-Minded Open to learning new skills Willing to participate in training and certifications Seeks personal and professional improvement Core ValuesTreat Others Well "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them." - Matthew 7:12 Teamwork Encourage and serve your CREW members.
