The Lead Youth Development Professional take the lead in implementing fun and engaging youth activities at the BGCNRI Clubhouses and/or Riverzedge Arts. They work across all programs but have the opportunity to specialized in their greatest area of expertise and experience (Arts, Athletics, or Science and Technology). This is a part-time hourly position, up to 29 hours per week.Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of Arts, Athletics, and/or Science Technology curriculum. Create an environment that highlights the achievement of youth and promotes a sense of safety, confidence, and belonging. Demonstrate strong leadership skills in diverse environment. Learn and adhere to Department of Human Services (DHS) childcare care licensing requirements. Serve snacks and/or meals as needed. Maintain accurate and complete records of attendance, meal service, and program participation. Serve as a point of contact when the site coordinator/supervisor is unavailable. Immediately report all incidents to your Direct Supervisor.Qualifications:
Must be 21+ and have a high school diploma or GED, some college preferred. Experience and interest in one or more of the following areas: Arts, Athletics, Science and Technology, Music, or other. Demonstrated success leading/facilitating group activities. Experience working successfully with children and youth. Must be or become certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. Required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; via computer, telephone, or in person as needed. Frequently required to engage in active play with children, including bending, reaching, running, and participating in age-appropriate physical activities and sports. Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. May be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying environment conditions. Successfully pass all BCI requirements.Benefits:
