DESCRIPTION
Position overview: The High School Learning Specialist is a dedicated educator who provides targeted academic support, instructional strategies, and advocacy for students with diverse learning needs. This role focuses on helping students in grades 9-12 succeed in the general education curriculum through individualized instruction, co-teaching, accommodations, and collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff. The Learning Specialist promotes an inclusive learning environment and helps close achievement gaps for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and other needs. They will work one on one with students who are behind and communicate progress to teachers, parents, and administration. This position works in collaboration with the Director of Learning Support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience (Minimum Required) Bachelors degree or above-related field Minnesota teachers license or ability to obtain license under direction of principal. Minnesota Special Education License - preferred
