Full-Time Position Summary Baywater is seeking a Field Lease Operator to support oil & gas production operations with a focus on CO₂ injection fields. This role combines traditional lease operations with facility operations, requiring a strong understanding of production equipment, injection systems, and safety-critical processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily field operations, monitoring production and injection systems, maintaining equipment integrity, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lease Operations Monitor and optimize oil, gas, and water production from assigned wells Conduct routine well checks including pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and fluid levels Adjust well settings (chokes, valves, artificial lift systems) to maintain optimal production Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on wellsite equipment Record and report production data accurately and timely Facility Operations Operate and monitor production facilities including separators, treaters, compressors, and tank batteries Manage fluid transfer operations including oil, produced water, and gas handling Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping Support startup, shutdown, and upset condition response CO₂ Injection Operations (Critical Scope) Monitor CO₂ injection rates, pressures, and volumes to ensure compliance with reservoir management plans Inspect and maintain CO₂ injection wells, lines, valves, and related infrastructure Identify and respond to leaks, pressure anomalies, or system upsets Understand corrosion risks and ensure proper mitigation practices are followed Coordinate with engineering and reservoir teams on injection performance Safety & Compliance Responsibilities Adhere to all company HSE policies, OSHA standards, and client-specific requirements Recognize and mitigate hazards associated with CO₂ exposure (asphyxiation risk) Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and permit-to-work systems Immediately report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions Utilize proper PPE including respiratory protection when required Support emergency response activities including spill response and gas release scenarios Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED 2+ years of oil & gas field experience (lease operator, facility operator, or similar role) Experience working with CO₂ injection or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record
