Job Title Lease Operator I Compensation $31.60/hr Location Coyanosa, TX - Weatherby Road Schedule 8/6 Rotation - 10 hours/day Target Start Date ASAP Submittal Deadline 5/15/2026 A&D Classification Safety Sensitive Scope Job Summary Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of wells, oil & gas processing units, and associated facilities. Role emphasizes oil, gas, and water separation operations, field monitoring, and supporting startup and ongoing operations of facilities. Key Responsibilities Operations & Monitoring Monitor wells and processing equipment to ensure optimal production Gauge tanks, read meters, record production data, and collect samples Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and chemical injection rates Identify leaks, freezing, overheating, or abnormal operating conditions Field & Equipment Oversight Perform routine inspections using sight, sound, and touch Adjust process parameters to maintain production within specifications Verify valve alignment and equipment status Monitor equipment using handheld and computerized systems Maintenance Support Perform basic maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, tightening packing, etc.) Support winterization and summerization of equipment Maintain company vehicle and assigned tools Safety & Compliance Issue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing Inspect safety equipment (relief valves, fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus) Follow environmental and safety policies to minimize emissions and spills Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives Coordination & Communication Coordinate oil sales and water hauling Communicate with Production Foreman on process conditions and changes Maintain accurate gauge sheets and operational records Skills & Qualifications Required High School Diploma Prior experience in a related oil & gas operations role Ability to operate and maintain surface production equipment Strong understanding of oil & gas production processes Technical & Functional Experience with separation facilities and field equipment Ability to read and interpret operational data and schematics Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting General Competencies Strong safety mindset Ability to work independently in field environments Good communication skills (written and verbal) Physically capable (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, etc.) Ability to use SCBA and safety equipment Work Requirements Rotational schedule (8/6) Available for call-outs as needed Additional Details Allowances Agency-supplied ½-ton truck Basic tools provided No per diem (local candidates only) Interview Process 30-minute Meet & Greet (In-person or Zoom) oAYvXDocPi Lease Operator
