This is a full-time, in-person role best suited for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, those who enjoy helping others, and those who are excellent at remaining organized.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in Elder Law, Trusts & Estates, guardianship, estate administration, probate litigation, and special needs matters Revise, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents Manage attorney calendars, appointments, court dates, and deadlines Conduct client intake interviews Coordinate client meetings, conference calls, and virtual meetings Open and maintain client files, both electronic and physical Communicate professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, and healthcare providers Assist with preparation and filing of court pleadings and probate-related documents Handle document management, scanning, e-filing, and records organization Process incoming and outgoing mail and maintain case-related correspondence Track deadlines and assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant in a law firm preferred Experience in Elder Law, Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate Litigation, Trusts & Estates, or related practice areas is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Familiarity with legal document management systems and e-filing platforms preferred Professional demeanor and strong client service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401 (k) retirement plan, paid time off, and access to additional voluntary programs. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
