Job Description:
Trueline's client, a globally recognized professional services organization with a sophisticated legal practice, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support its M&A team in New York, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished and highly organized administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced transactional environment and enjoys supporting high-performing attorneys on complex, deadline-driven work.

Legal Administrative Assistant:
Prepare, revise, and format complex legal and transactional documents using Microsoft Word and related Office tools Proofread documents for accuracy, formatting consistency, and completeness Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements Support attorneys through fast-moving corporate and transactional workflows Open new matters, assist with conflict checks, and maintain accurate client and matter records Handle time entry, expense reporting, and billing coordination Support file management, including records maintenance and file closing procedures Provide professional communication support for clients, attorneys, and internal teams Manage high-volume phone and email communications with discretion and responsiveness Collaborate closely with administrative team members to ensure seamless support coverage Assist with additional operational and administrative tasks as needed Must-Haves as the
Legal Administrative Assistant:
Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of legal or high-level administrative support experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require Nice-to-Haves as the
Legal Administrative Assistant:
Prior experience supporting attorneys within an M&A, corporate, or transactional legal practice Experience working in a large law firm environment Familiarity with legal billing and time entry systems Exposure to transactional document management or closing-related processes Experience coordinating complex travel and scheduling logistics
