Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys across various practice areas, ensuring the smooth operation of the law office. Your expertise in legal procedures, document management, and research will be instrumental in facilitating efficient case handling and client service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment while honing their skills in multiple legal disciplines. Responsibilities Manage and maintain legal case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision and attention to detail. Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources to support attorneys' case strategies across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and tribal law. Assist with legal case management by organizing documents, tracking deadlines, and preparing materials for court filings or client meetings. Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and manage calendars for attorneys while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Support interviewing clients and witnesses as needed to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases.
