Job Description

We are seeking applicants for a new Lending Specialist role at AgSouth. This position works in partnership with lending team to provide high-level lending support throughout the loan process, and assists the lending team with loan origination and servicing processes to create an efficient and customer friendly experience for both our borrowers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Lender Support Supports lending operations by entering and verifying loan information, coordinating documentation, and assisting with portfolio servicing. Ensures all loan activities follow required policies and procedures. Data Entry Conducts pre-screening of credit applications, uploading financial documents, and assisting with portfolio servicing tasks like renewals and modifications. It also coordinates with the lending team to gather required information for loan applications and servicing. Location/Administrative Support (Back up) Provide general administrative support for branch operations, assists with local public relations efforts, and helps maintain proper internal controls. It also collaborates closely with branch staff, marketing, and facilities to support smooth daily operations. Other Duties as Assigned/Personal Employee Development Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include specific projects. Participate in continuous learning activities to sustain knowledge of the industry, management practices, and Association policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serve the best interest of the borrower and the Association
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Contributes to building and maintaining a positive team atmosphere
  • Focus on problem solving skills with solutions-driven results
  • Knowledge of Farm Credit Association policies and procedures
