This Media Specialists position is located at Sunset Elementary. Media Specialists will provide students with an enriching library environment containing a wide variety and range of materials that will invite intellectual growth. They will aid students in acquiring the skills needed to be effective and independent consumers of information. Join our team and make a difference for students and staff! The Library Media Specialist supports literacy, technology, and data needs while creating a welcoming and positive library environment. •

Salary:

Library Aide Classified Salary Schedule, dependent upon experience. $17.68 to $27.40/hr range. Key Responsibilities Manage the school library and promote reading Support students and staff with technology and devices Troubleshoot software, hardware, and login issues Assist with student and staff software, data entry, and reports Provide positive, professional support to students, staff, and families Qualifications 49+ college semester hours preferred Tech-savvy with strong troubleshooting skills Data collection and management ability Flexible, positive, professional, and team-oriented Enjoys working with students Details Follows school classified staff calendar Salary & benefits per district schedule

Qualification Requirements:

Language Skills:

Ability to read and analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
