In this role, you will provide comprehensive addiction counseling and mental health support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your expertise in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention will be vital in guiding clients toward recovery and improved well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) Implement motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward positive behavioral change and sustained recovery Provide crisis management and intervention services during acute episodes, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients experiencing mental health or substance use crises Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and using appropriate CPT coding for billing purposes Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, home & community care, hospital-based treatment, and follow-up care to ensure seamless patient support Engage in ongoing research activities related to addiction medicine, mental health counseling, PTSD care, and behavioral health best practices to enhance service quality Experience Valid licensure as a Clinical Addiction Specialist or equivalent credential with active licensing status Proven experience in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings with a focus on substance use disorder treatment Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group therapy, and social work principles Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, medical documentation standards, and electronic health record (EHR) systems Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments for diverse populations, including children & families when applicable Strong crisis management skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements related to patient privacy and data security Join us in transforming lives through compassionate care!
