Job Description

The Wyandotte Nation is currently seeking applications for a Clinical Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Independent Practice). This position provides independent, comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services within a tribally operated healthcare setting in alignment with Indian Health Service standards. This position is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders across the lifespan using evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The clinician delivers individual, family, and group psychotherapy; conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments; develops and implements treatment plans; provides crisis intervention and safety planning; and ensures appropriate discharge planning and continuity of care. The role includes close collaboration with medical providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated, patient-centered care, as well as coordination with community partners and referral sources, including psychiatric services. The clinician maintains accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record, ensures compliance with federal, state, tribal, Indian Health Service, and confidentiality regulations, and performs case management functions as needed to support positive patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include community outreach, presentations, and ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and clinical competencies. Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution and hold a current, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in the State of Oklahoma authorized for independent practice. A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, with strong preference given to candidates with experience in integrated healthcare, tribal health, or Indian Health Service settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and crisis-management skills; knowledge of healthcare data systems; the ability to work effectively under stress; and a commitment to culturally responsive care. CPR/AED/First Aid certification, the ability to travel as needed, and successful completion of required physical, drug screening, background checks, and possession of a valid driver's license are required.
