Job Description

We are seeking a clinically strong Registered Dietitian to join our acute‑care team. This role focuses on providing evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy to hospitalized patients while supporting food service operations through test tray evaluations and staff education.

Full‑time / PRN Key Responsibilities
  • Complete timely nutrition assessments for patients with diverse and complex medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy plans
  • Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, SLPs, and other care team members
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and document in the EMR
  • Provide patient and family education on therapeutic diets and nutrition care
  • Conduct and evaluate test trays to ensure accuracy of diet orders, food quality, tray presentation, and compliance with clinical standards
  • Deliver in‑service training to dietary staff on therapeutic diets, allergy protocols, texture modifications, and workflow updates
  • Support quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition care and food service
  • Assist with menu review and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
  • Stay current with acute‑care nutrition guidelines and best practices Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with nutrition support (enteral/parenteral)
  • Experience with malnutrition diagnosis and
ASPEN/AND
criteria
  • Knowledge of texture‑modified diets and dysphagia guidelines
  • EMR proficiency
