Licensed Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial, commercial, or residential environment. The Electrician is an essential component of Lywood Electric's team. Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting DC and AC circuits ranging from 24 VDC to 480 Volts AC.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assemble, and installs electrical conduit and pulls wiring through conduit.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of electricity including both A.C. and D.C., electronics, power distribution, and circuitry protection.
• Must have ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.
• Must be able to read electrical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Must be a confident decision maker and capable of making decisions within time and information constraints. Qualifications and Skills
• Current Journeyperson certification required.
• Valid State Issued Driver's License.
• Current CPR Certification Card preferred.
• Skilled in the use and care of all hand and shop tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour training preferred. Physical Requirements
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete job.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at a time.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and high noise levels.
• Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work weekends as needed. Education & Experience required
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited Electrical Technology certificate program required.
• Previous electrical experience required.
