Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with a passion for helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals through therapeutic massage techniques. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to assess patient needs effectively. Duties Work exclusively with MVC (Motor Vehicle Collision) and WC (Workers' Compensation) patients in the clinic, which requires clear communication with the chiropractic team, accurate documentation for legal and insurance purposes, and a deep understanding of injury patterns and recovery protocols. If the MVC/WC patient schedule is not fully booked, the remaining appointment slots will be offered to our general patient base as a wellness opportunity. Provide professional massage therapy services tailored to individual client needs, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and address specific concerns. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sanitized and organized. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in an occupational health or med spa setting to enhance patient care. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for follow-up treatments or self-care practices. Document client progress and treatment outcomes accurately in accordance with facility policies. Skills Experience working with MVC/WC cases, including understanding proper documentation, treatment planning for injury recovery, and collaborating with medical/legal teams. Strong customer service skills to create a positive experience for clients. Proficient in patient service techniques, ensuring comfort and satisfaction during treatments. In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy practices. Experience in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management strategies. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments to identify specific needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Familiarity with occupational health principles as they relate to massage therapy is a plus.
