Job Description

Overview:
River Valley Bodyworks is hiring once again to add to our fast growing team of massage therapists. Our queer owned establishment is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for people from all backgrounds and proudly identifies as an Open to All business. We are seeking LMT's that are compassionate about providing massage therapy as a therapeutic service that nourishes the body and mind. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage treatments to clients, helping them alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. If you have a passion for healing through touch and are dedicated to providing exceptional client service to people from all walks of life, we would love to hear from you. We have several shifts available , allowing for at least one full time position. This does include at least one weekend day or night. Responsibilities:
  • Perform various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and more
  • Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans
  • Provide relief for acute pain management and chronic conditions
  • Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with clients and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment approaches
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality
  • Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of massage therapy
Experience:
  • No Minimum experience as a licensed Massage Therapist is required. New grads and encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in various massage techniques including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point therapy, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals
  • Proven ability to assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Experience in pain management and acute injury treatment is preferred
  • Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus
