Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Overview:

River Valley Bodyworks is hiring once again to add to our fast growing team of massage therapists. Our queer owned establishment is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for people from all backgrounds and proudly identifies as an Open to All business. We are seeking LMT's that are compassionate about providing massage therapy as a therapeutic service that nourishes the body and mind. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage treatments to clients, helping them alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. We have several shifts available , allowing for at least one full time position. This does include at least one weekend day or night. Responsibilities:

• Perform various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and more
• Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans
• Provide relief for acute pain management and chronic conditions
• Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with clients and other healthcare professionals
• Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment approaches
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality
• Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of massage therapy

Experience:

• No Minimum experience as a licensed Massage Therapist is required. New grads and encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in various massage techniques including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point therapy, etc.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals
• Proven ability to assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Experience in pain management and acute injury treatment is preferred
• Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus
