Part Time (15-20 Hours A Week) A mix of substance abuse/mental health/sex offender clients Are you looking to develop a specialized forensic skill set? Or, provide your already established expertise to prevent further sexualized violence and promote improved quality of life to an undeserved population? The Counseling and Psychotherapy Center, Inc. (CPC) facilitates community-based sex offender assessment and treatment services across the state. We currently have openings for both full-time and part-time therapist positions. These positions offer a degree of schedule flexibility and professional autonomy, while still working for a company that provides clinical and administrative support, oversight, supervision, and office space. Our experienced agency will train and certify a qualified candidate to work in this specialized field to provide risk-reducing treatment interventions with court-ordered clients.
Education & Licensing Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral level degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related field. Must have a valid LCSW/LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or Psychologist license Understanding of risk management & mitigation principles CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing experience Clinical outpatient treatment experience, with focus on group facilitation Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working clinically with individuals who have engaged in acts of sexual abuse, domestic or physical violence, or substance abuse
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing assessment, individualized treatment planning, and group/individual therapy for persons charged with/convicted of sex offenses. Complete required assessments on clients assigned to caseload, including but not limited to actuarial and dynamic risk assessment, sexual interests, personality measures, cognitive and achievement tests. Prepare and maintain timely web-based treatment files and clinical documentation. Work in an independent setting with strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail. Attend clinical trainings (CE's provided), containment team meetings, and supervisory meetings as required. Develop and maintain working interdisciplinary relationships with CPC colleagues, customers and criminal justice partners. Adhere to professional and confidentiality requirements in handling client records. As of November 1, 2021, CPC fully complies with the National ETS Vaccination/Testing Mandates.
