Overview The Nursing Home Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of a long-term care facility. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing high-quality care to residents while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Administrator will oversee staff management, budgetary responsibilities, and the overall well-being of residents, fostering an environment that promotes dignity and respect. Duties Manage the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident rights and quality care. Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled workforce. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care plans and medication administration. Manage budgeting and financial planning to maintain operational efficiency. Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to address concerns and improve service delivery. Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents, promoting their dignity and independence. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in senior care, long-term care, and assisted living. Skills Strong knowledge of senior care practices, including resident rights and social work principles. Experience in long-term care settings or retirement homes is highly desirable. Proficiency in medication administration protocols and health regulations. Excellent budgeting skills with a solid understanding of financial acumen. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members. Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
