Licensed Optician

Overview We are a privately owned, patient‑focused optometric practice with four locations across Western New York. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and service‑oriented Licensed Optician to join our team. This position is based primarily in our Niagara Falls office, with occasional travel to our Williamsville, Lockport, and East Aurora locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and proper fitting Provide exceptional customer service to new and established patients Utilize EHR systems efficiently and accurately Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice protocols Collaborate closely with Optometrists to support high‑quality patient care Perform adjustments, repairs, and fittings with precision Support optical retail operations, including sales and inventory management Contribute to laboratory tasks such as edging, finishing, and quality checks Assist with vision plan billing processes as needed Qualifications Current and valid Optician License (required) Strong optical knowledge, including frames, lenses, and fitting techniques Proficiency with EHR systems and digital workflow Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical and retail environment Experience in optical laboratory work, retail sales, and vision plan billing is highly recommended Willingness to travel between practice locations when necessary Understanding of various insurances Our office is open 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. This is a part-time position 30-35 per week, with a potential of full-time if desired.

Pay:

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
