Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Your expertise will help patients recover mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence through tailored physiotherapy interventions. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and neurological cases. Conduct therapeutic exercises, trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities to promote healing and functional recovery. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, discharge planning, injury prevention strategies, and home health care routines. Support discharge planning efforts by coordinating follow-up care, providing instructions for continued therapy at home or outpatient clinics. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and ensuring proper use of equipment in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes through effective communication and comprehensive care plans. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) with current certification. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy. Familiarity with treating diverse populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics within orthopedics or acute care contexts. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Demonstrated understanding of discharge planning processes and the importance of patient-centered care. Pay:
$32.57 - $39.22 per hour
