Job Description

Position Overview New Mexico Wellness Residential Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our residential substance use treatment program. The LPN plays a vital role in providing safe, ethical, and recovery‑focused nursing care while supporting clients through detoxification, stabilization, and ongoing recovery services. The ideal candidate is dependable, client‑centered, and experienced in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to clients within a residential alcohol and drug treatment setting Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions Perform nursing assessments, vital signs, withdrawal monitoring, and symptom management Accurately document medication administration, assessments, and client responses in the medical record Assist with detox protocols under medical direction Communicate effectively with medical providers, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members Monitor client safety and report changes in condition promptly Support a therapeutic, recovery‑oriented environment Adhere to facility policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality at all times
Qualifications Required:
Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of New Mexico CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Ability to administer medications and perform basic nursing functions Strong documentation and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment
Preferred:
