Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Support complex clinical procedures such as wound dressings, tube feedings, venipuncture, and sterile processing tasks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care strategies. Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding standards. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including dementia patients in memory or assisted living facilities, hospice patients, and those in ICU or trauma centers. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, medical imaging prep, and respiratory support including ventilator management. Requirements Valid LPN license with current state licensure; must meet all licensing requirements for practicing as an LPN in the assigned location. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency room, or Level I Trauma Center preferred; hospital medicine or emergency medicine experience highly valued. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding and EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia; background in geriatrics or long-term care is advantageous. Ability to perform complex clinical procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and airway management. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication; capable of working independently while maintaining teamwork focus. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting or repositioning tasks safely; adherence to infection control protocols is essential.
