Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract A unique opportunity is now available for a licensed LPN or RN passionate about making a meaningful difference in a school setting. Provide essential care and support for a student with severe epilepsy in a contract role that extends from now through June 2026, with the potential for summer and future school year extension based on mutual fit. This role consists of full-time hours (30+ per week), allowing you to foster a stable environment for the student while providing continuity of care throughout the day.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN license required Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric settings preferred Understanding of seizure protocols and care for students with epilepsy Able to lift and safely assist with 2-person transfers Skilled in feeding, dressing, toileting, and general self-care assistance Comfortable with bus riding and remaining with the student all day Compassionate, reliable, and communicative, with a team-centered mindset
Responsibilities:
Attend to one student's health and daily living needs throughout the school day Monitor for neurological symptoms and administer appropriate interventions Ensure student safety, including helmet use and seizure response Manage nutrition, dressing, toileting, and all personal care Collaborate closely with teachers, family, and relevant staff Support safe transportation to and from school on the bus Foster an encouraging, secure environment supporting the student's academic and social participation This contract role offers competitive hourly compensation ($40-$50 per hour) and the rewarding experience of playing a vital part in a child's wellbeing and education.
