Job Description

Job Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, promoting comfort, dignity, and overall quality of life. The LPN serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team and provides clinical leadership and direction to Resident Assistants and other support staff. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to resident-centered care aligned with the facility's philosophy and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership - LPN Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to Resident Assistants and other assigned nursing staff. Professional Nursing Care Provides safe, competent, and professional nursing care in accordance with facility policies, professional standards, and state and federal regulations. Follows each resident's individualized plan of care. Performs accurate and timely administration of medications and prescribed treatments. Uses strong assessment skills to prevent, identify, and reduce adverse resident outcomes. Documents care accurately and in a timely manner. Choices Philosophy of Care Practices and promotes the organization's "Choices Philosophy of Care." Treats all residents with dignity, respect, and compassion. Supports resident autonomy and individualized care approaches through daily practice and staff leadership. Safety Standards Maintains a strong awareness of and adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Uses universal precautions and infection control standards at all times. Follows all guidelines related to bloodborne pathogens and exposure control. Identifies, reports, and removes unsafe equipment or conditions promptly. Ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors, staff, and self. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree required.
Licensure:
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alaska required.
Certifications:
Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association required).
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care preferred.
Shift:
3x12 Hr. Days (36 Hrs. per Week)

$1,647.00 Gross ($630.00 Taxable & $1,017.00 Tax-Free) ($45.75/Hr. Blended Rate) #
LL Pay:
$1,647.00 per week
