Part-time | Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm No nights, weekends, or major holidays! Position Summary The LPN supports adults with developmental disabilities by providing direct skills instruction, assisting with medical needs, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This role offers a meaningful balance of clinical nursing and educational support. The LPN works under the supervision of the Health Care Supervisor (RN) and Program Director.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and teach targeted skills to program participants Provide direct care and assist with ADLs, feeding, and mobility Perform skills/treatments required for consumer health (i.e. G-Tube feedings, tracheotomy care Administer medications and treatments per provider orders Observe and report changes in health status to the RN, supervisors, and families Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and required nursing documentation Support classroom operations and provide nursing coverage as needed Cross coverage to other Baroco sites as needed or assigned Maintain first aid supplies, equipment, and medication inventory Advocate for participant rights, safety, health, and independence Practice within LPN scope and seek clarification/training when needed Participate in trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional development Report suspected abuse/neglect immediately per policy
Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts LPN license High school diploma or equivalent (minimum) Valid driver's license + reliable transportation (must meet insurance criteria) Ability to lift up to 60lbs and assist with transfers Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
