Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Starting Pay $26.91 an hour Full time working 7.25 hours a day, with benefits 181 day position - following school calendar •All employees must complete nationwide criminal history, upon hire
Qualifications:
1) Valid current Indiana practical nursing license 2) Current CPR certification 3) Prior clinical experience in medical/surgical, pediatric nursing preferred Performance responsibilities: 1. Assist corporation and school administrators in developing school health program. 2. Participate in work of health curriculum committee. 3. Observe students on a regular basis to detect health needs. 4. Maintain up-to-date cumulative health records on all students. 5. Report to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on student health matters. 6. Assume authority, in the absence of a physician, for the care of a student or staff member who has suffered an injury or emergency illness. 7. Administer first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures. 8. Implement Board policy on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases. 9. Participate in in-service training programs. 10. Assist school personnel in maintaining sanitary standards in schools. 11. Manage all materials, paperwork, and equipment required to complete medical tasks. 12. Keep accurate account of all medications and procedures. 13. Keep accurate account of all necessary supplies. 14. Duties also include data entry as assigned. 15. Perform other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his designee may delegate.
