Job Description

About us The South Branch Valley Day Report Center is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to provide clinical services within our adult community corrections-based substance use recovery program. This full-time position will support adult participants referred through the courts, probation, parole, Family Court, DoHS/CPS, and other community partners. The Licensed Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessments, individual counseling, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and support services for adults participating in SBVDRC programming. This position is ideal for a professional who is committed to evidence-based practice, recovery-focused care, and helping individuals make meaningful behavioral change while remaining connected to their community.

Program Area:
Adult Services / Community Corrections-Based Substance Use Recovery Programming Primary Responsibilities The Licensed Therapist will: Provide individual therapy and clinical support to adult participants enrolled in SBVDRC services. Complete clinical assessments and assist with identifying appropriate levels of care and service needs. Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on participant needs, goals, and progress. Provide trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services using evidence-based practices. Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation. Maintain accurate, timely, and professional billing for rendered services consistent with
WV-SB128
standards and within our office policies. Collaborate with case managers, recovery coaches, peer support staff, court personnel, DoHS/CPS, probation, parole, and other referral partners. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffing as needed. Support participants in addressing substance use, criminal and addictive thinking, emotional regulation, trauma, relapse prevention, family stability, and other barriers to recovery. Provide recommendations and progress updates in a professional and court-appropriate manner when required. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical, legal, and agency standards.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
Hold a current West Virginia license or be license-eligible as a professional therapist, counselor, clinical social worker, or related behavioral health professional. Have experience or interest in working with adults involved in the justice system, substance use recovery, mental health treatment, or community-based behavioral health services. Demonstrate strong documentation, communication, and professional collaboration skills. Be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality requirements. Be available to work full-time, Monday through Friday. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates may have experience with: Substance use disorder treatment. Community corrections or court-referred populations. Trauma-informed care. Motivational Interviewing. Cognitive behavioral interventions. ASAM assessments or treatment planning. Co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. Family Court, CPS, probation, parole, or other justice-involved referral systems. About the South Branch Valley Day Report Center The South Branch Valley Day Report Center provides community corrections-based substance use recovery and evidence-based programming for individuals across Hampshire, Hardy, and Pendleton Counties. SBVDRC works closely with courts, supervision agencies, DoHS/CPS, behavioral health providers, and community partners to support recovery, accountability, family stability, and public safety. Our adult services program helps participants address substance use, criminal and addictive thinking, relapse prevention, life skills, parenting, emotional regulation, and other factors that affect long-term recovery and successful community participation.
