Job Description
Introduction:
The Yakima Humane Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Technician (Licensed Veterinary Technician) to join our team in delivering high-quality medical care to the animals of Yakima County. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to improving animal welfare and making a positive impact in our community. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals in need and are looking to make a meaningful difference, we encourage you to apply and become part of our mission-driven team. The Yakima Spay & Neuter Clinic provides low-cost spay and neuter services for our local residents. It also serves as the primary spay and neuter resource for the homeless animals in our care. In 2025, we performed over 8,000 surgeries and expect to eclipse 10,000 in 2026. In addition, our veterinary team provides the medical care for all of the animals at our adoption center. One of the key benefits of this role is our favorable schedule, which typically runs Monday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays dedicated to tasks such as inventory checks to determine necessary orders, overseeing medical overnight patients, and other essential duties. Additionally, shared on-call responsibilities are part of the position. This opportunity allows you to engage in meaningful work within the field of animal welfare while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you have time for family, rest, and the pursuit of personal interests. In lieu of providing a cover letter, we ask that you answer these two questions when submitting a resume: 1. What interests you about working at Yakima Humane Spay and Neuter Clinic? 2. How would you describe your ideal working environment?Position Title:
