Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends Position Summary North Runnels Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to assist in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LVN provides direct and indirect patient care, supports care planning, and ensures safe and effective nursing interventions. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments under RN supervision. Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans based on patient needs. Administer medications, including IV therapy, as prescribed by physicians and per hospital policy. Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and diagnostic results; report variances promptly to RN. Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan using evidence-based practices. Support patient and family education regarding treatment, discharge, and health promotion. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital standards. Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times. Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Vocational Nursing. Current LVN license in the State of Texas (required). BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required). Minimum of 1 year of LVN experience preferred; new graduates considered. Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
