Full Job Description SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, provide basic resident care. This is accomplished in accord with the Vincentian Mission and Values of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church, Federal and State Laws and within the Quality of Care and Service, Safety and Disaster Plans of Laboure Residence. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term residents. May advise patients on health maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Must understand and support the mission of the Daughters of Charity and Vincentian Values as stated in the Seton Employee Handbook
• Must possess personal qualities of integrity, respect for others, good judgment, and good communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Vocational Licensed Nurse
• Current License Required
• Preferred two years of experience in a nursing facility
• Basic Life Support Classes

• In-depth understanding of clinical procedures and protocols

• Physically strong and able to work on their feet for long periods of time
• Flexibility, able to adopt to changes in schedule and willing to work longer hours if necessary essential duties:
• Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patient's conditions
• Administer prescribed medications
• Answer resident's calls and determine how to assist them
• Provide basic resident care and treatments: taking vital signs, dressing wounds, etc
• Directs and supervise CNAs while on shift
• Other Nursing related duties as assigned

Pay:

$33.99 - $35.01 per hour
