Licensed Wireman or Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary Q Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable Licensed Wireman to Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This position involves working on a variety of residential, commercial, and light industrial projects. Candidates with controls experience and oilfield electrical background are highly encouraged to apply. Knowledge of NEC and best practices is a must. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage circuits, and schematics to ensure proper system operation. Conduct testing with tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Follow NEC guidelines and safety protocols diligently during all phases of installation and maintenance work. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and handymen to coordinate electrical work within broader project scopes. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and compliance documentation for each project phase. Experience Valid license as a Wireman or Journeyman Electrician with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical projects. Demonstrated experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new installations. Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks such as PLC programming, low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate installations. Familiarity with NEC standards, electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices in construction environments. Experience using hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools such as drills and saws. Knowledge of low voltage systems including security alarms or communication wiring is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining high safety standards; handyman experience or frame carpentry skills are advantageous for versatile project support.
