Job Summary Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard, where your primary mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool guests. You will be the vigilant guardian of our aquatic environment, actively monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and providing exceptional guest services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop essential skills in water safety, first aid, and guest engagement while making a positive impact on our community. Responsibilities Vigilantly monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established rescue techniques. Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning pool decks, skimming debris, and checking water clarity and chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality. Assist members & guests with inquiries, provide directions, and deliver friendly guest services to enhance their overall experience. Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including rescue tubes, first aid kits, and pool safety signage, ensuring everything is in proper working order. Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols. Experience Previous lifeguard experience preferred; certification in lifeguarding is required or must be obtained upon hire. Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is essential for emergency response readiness. Knowledge of basic pool maintenance and cleaning procedures is a plus. Ability to swim confidently and perform water rescues effectively under pressure. Experience in guest services or customer-facing roles that demonstrate strong communication skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to pool equipment or supplies as needed. Willingness to undergo ongoing training in first aid, CPR, and pool safety standards.
