Lifeguard

Under the supervision of the Pool Manager and the Community Services Coordinator, provide for the safety and enjoyment of patrons using the pool, instruct various levels of swimming skills and aquatic programs, enforce all pool rules and regulations. Minimum 15 years old One year of life guarding experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION

(Upon successful completion of certifications paid and provided by the City of Kingsburg) Current CPR and First Aid for the

Professional Rescuer American Red Cross Life Guarding Certificate WSI Certificate Duties:

Keep assigned area clean and free of any and all safety hazards at all times. Assist in the inspection of all equipment, chemical levels and water balancing equipment. Supervise the conduct and or behavior of pool patrons and enforce facility rules. Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures of the facility. Be alert of hazardous situations when guarding, report serious violations to Pool Manager. Instruct and or assist in the instructing of aquatic programs as assigned. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
