Lifeguard (Evergreen Hills I) Req #11372 Macedon, NY 14502, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 12:00 AM WinnCompanies is looking for three Lifeguards to join our team at Evergreen Hills I , an 80-unit affordable housing community located in Macedon, NY . In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all activities in the pool area of the property and ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Additionally, please note that this is a temporary, seasonal position which is not eligible for Winn benefits. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: 12:00PM to 8:00PM seven days a week with 4 hour work shifts split between another lifeguard.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for achieving and maintaining all appropriate Red Cross certifications and for furnishing copies of such certifications to the Property Manager. Perform and maintain appropriate activity reports. Supervise people in the pool to warn against inappropriate activity and be cognizant of any need for personal assistance. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service. Enforce the property's rules at all times for use of and activity in and around the pool, including wearing appropriate attire and ensuring that food and beverages are not brought into the pool area. Control the number of people in the pool at any given time to ensure that the pool is not overcrowded, according to Red Cross standards. Ensure the pool area is always clean and in good repair with the responsibility for calling the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) as needed for maintenance and cleaning assistance. Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Responsible for opening and closing the pool area at the appropriate times each day the pool is open. Ensure that all gates to the area are locked at the end of each day. Clean and test the pool each morning before the pool is open, and as needed during and at the end of each day. Must dress appropriately in the prescribed uniform and be neat and groomed at all times.

Requirements:

Less than 1 year of relevant work experience. A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy. Red Cross Lifeguard certification. CPR/AED certification. Ability to swim and work outdoors for 6-8 hours per day. Excellent customer service skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
