Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Lighting Technicians to join our live event production team. Candidates should have hands-on experience with intelligent lighting, including Moving Heads, Uplighting, Truss systems, and designing/programming shows. You must be comfortable using lighting software such as MyDMX or similar lighting control platforms. Applicants who own and are experienced with their own lighting console or control board are encouraged to apply, as we are open to technicians programming and operating shows using their preferred systems during events.
Responsibilities:
Setup/Strike:
Set up and break down intelligent lighting, uplighting, trusses, and more for live events and weddings
Fixture Management:
Address, patch, focus, and test lighting fixtures to ensure proper functionality
Program & Show Execution:
Program shows and execute scene changes, based on atmosphere, energy, and key moments
Troubleshooting:
Quickly identify and resolve fixture, DMX signal, console and power-related issues during events Receive and carry out directions as provided by Event Lead Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times Assist with overall setup and load-in and load-out operations Ensure proper care and handling of company equipment Attend training seminars provided by
MVPDJs Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and time management skills Personable with strong teamwork abilities Must have your own means of reliable transportation Willingness to work weekends Willing and able to work in a positive team environment Able to work efficiently in fast-paced event environments Must have a valid state driver's license Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead
Travel Requirements:
This position will involve frequent travel and occasional overnight stays. Accommodations during travel may include shared hotel rooms, as part of our commitment to efficient resource management. Pay:
$200.00 - $400.00 per day Application Question(s): How many weekends per month are you available? This role requires lifting 50 lbs, loading, unloading, setting up/breaking down equipment and being on your feet for long hours. Are you comfortable with that? Are you able to work events on Thursday-Sunday?
