Job Description Essential Functions:
Consistently demonstrates a thorough knowledge of patient positioning, principles of CR/DR, Fluoroscopy, quality control, image processing, and demonstrates the ability to plan own work. Assists physicians in performing procedures. Provides learning environment. Documents appropriate information in patients chart. Ensures the procedure and related supplies are billed correctly. Examines requisition for appropriate orders, exam date, indication for exam. Reprints corrected requisition. Performs daily Quality Assurance and temperature documentation. Prepares the correct procedure tray when assisting physician. Consistently provides quality diagnostic exams for interpretation. Competently works within required computer programs (i.e. PACs, RIS, Vrad) as well as manual downtime processes. All other duties as assigned.Additional Requirements Required:
EducationHigh School Diploma/GED Equivalent:
General Studies Certification- Radiology Program currently enrolled/completed
- JCERT Accredited Institution/Facility Or holds a certificate from a limited tech program or will be enrolled in a limited tech program or enrolled in an accredited Radiology Technologist program; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- Within 60 days of hire or transfer.
Regarding BLS certification:
The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.Preferred:
Experience- 1+ years of healthcare experience Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- Accredited University or accredited training professionals

- Caregivers must be BLS certified upon employment or within their 90-day probation period.
Scheduling Requirements:
Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.Physical Requirements:
Heavy work- exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects.
