Department Information With 22 full-time faculty, the Department of Government and Sociology promotes a student-centered learning environment in pursuit of independent, critical thought. By embracing our liberal arts mission, we develop independent, life-long learners. The department's undergraduate programs include the BA major and minor in: Criminal Justice, Political Science and Sociology, as well as a minor in Anthropology. At the graduate level, we offer two degrees, the Master of Public Administration and the Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Job Summary The department of Government and Sociology at Georgia College and State University invites applications for a limited term lecturer position in Anthropology to begin August 2026. This 10 month position will teach courses in Anthropology at the undergraduate level. Successful candidates are expected to engage students in research and/or creative activities.
