Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist in menu planning by offering input on dish presentation and ingredient selection to enhance customer satisfaction Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices Support food safety protocols by adhering to sanitation standards, proper knife skills, and temperature controls Collaborate with team members during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of meals Assist with catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service and presentation Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, including dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Proficiency in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment use Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving customers and supporting colleagues Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
