Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and offering suggestions for seasonal or special dishes Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food preparation in healthcare or similar settings Proven restaurant or kitchen experience, especially in fine dining environments, showcasing advanced culinary skills and knife proficiency Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform meal preparation quickly while maintaining quality standards Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques, including food industry best practices Experience with menu planning, catering, serving, and general food service operations Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots or trays, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
