Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling dishes efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold health regulations and kitchen hygiene Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and support catering or special event needs Serve food promptly and professionally to guests or dining areas, ensuring a positive experience for all customers Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Strong background in food industry settings such as restaurants or catering services Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation, and cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and kitchen teamwork preferred Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting team efforts Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
