We currently are looking for a Line Cook to join our team for the restaurant and events. Applicants should have line and prep cooking skills, experience leading a busy kitchen, and a passion for providing guests high-quality food to enjoy. Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Ensuring the highest quality food properly executed to Chef standards. Following all safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Adhering to all the Rainbow Ranch recipes. Maintaining open communication with management and fellow team members. Holding the BOH team accountable. Leading by example.Essential Duties and Expectations Include:
Communicating daily with Executive Chef for updates, changes and revisions to existing menu and service. Maintaining standards for food quality, presentation, handling, sanitation, and safety. Follows all appropriate policies and procedures. Ensuring timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest, and team member requests. Demonstrating positive characteristics that include; respect, honesty, sincerity, creativity, enthusiasm, and accountability. Taking instruction from the Chef, Executive Sous, and from the General Manager.Applicants Must:
Be 18 years of age or older. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Be able to lift 50+ lbs. Be able to speak, read, and write in English. Be able to work standing for 8+ hours. Be flexible in scheduling with the ability to work weekends and holidays. Have a ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification (or be able to attain it). Possess a culinary arts degree and/or equivalent training with three or more years of Sous Chef and culinary management experience in a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.As well as:
working knowledge of all mother and minor sauces; working knowledge of proper butchering techniques; working knowledge of specialized culinary equipment utilized at the property; advanced knife skills; the ability to adjust preparations for flavor and accommodate client or guest needs in a timely manner; and the ability to discern and evaluate the condition or quality of food products through visual inspection, taste, touch, and smell. Qualified applicants will display essential key qualities including: Professional attitudes and appearance. Adaptability, flexibility, positive attitude, even temperament and a keen eye for detail. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively. The ability to assess situations and problem-solve to find effective solutions should challenges arise. The ability to lead a team effectively, execute tasks given by the Executive Chef, and work efficiently with department heads.
