Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant settings. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Candidates with background in dietary departments, catering, or food service will find this position especially fitting. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong culinary expertise. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and variety Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures are followed Use knife skills proficiently for slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients Support meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Serve dishes with presentation that meets restaurant standards Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation at all times Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred Dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques required Fine dining experience or work in the food industry highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Skills in catering, serving, and general kitchen operations are beneficial Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic team committed to excellence.
