Job Description

Job Summary We are not just looking to add a line cook, we are looking to add the right person to our core team. We are looking for a team member that truly enjoys their job, is friendly and works together with their team to provide the best food and service we can. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential to ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Assist in menu planning and food preparation for daily specials or events. Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Utilize various kitchen equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices. Skills Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Proficiency in knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools. Experience working in a restaurant or dietary department is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of food handling regulations and safety practices. Creativity in menu planning and willingness to experiment with new recipes. $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
